Who we are

KLVR is an independent web studio in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. When this page says “we”, it means KLVR. You can reach us about anything on this page at hello@klvr.ca.

What we collect, and why

When you send a brief

The contact form asks for your name, your email, your business or brand, what you need and your idea. We use them to reply, to scope your project and, if we work together, to run it. If you arrive from the project estimator or the missed-call calculator, the form is filled in with your choices from those tools, and you can edit or remove them before sending. Forms are received through our website host, Netlify.

When you email us

We receive whatever you include in the email, and use it to reply and to work with you.

When you try the AI receptionist demo

Messages you type or speak into the chat demo are sent to our AI receptionist provider, Ulio, so it can reply. Conversations can appear in our account with that provider, where we can read them. Calls to the demo line, +1 (343) 501-2440, are answered by the same provider, which processes what is said in order to respond. It is a demo: please pretend to be a customer, and don’t share anything sensitive such as health, financial or identity information.

When you use the microphone

Speaking to the chat demo uses your browser’s own speech recognition. Depending on your browser, the audio may be sent to the browser maker’s speech service (for example Google, in Chrome) to be turned into text. Spoken replies are made by your browser on your device. The microphone is only used after you tap it, and your browser asks for permission first.

What the website itself uses

• Hosting. Netlify serves this website and, like any web host, processes technical details such as your IP address and browser in order to deliver the pages.
• Fonts. Our typefaces are served from this website itself, so loading a page doesn’t contact any font service.
• No cookies, no tracking. We don’t set cookies, and we don’t use analytics or advertising trackers. The site keeps two things in your browser’s session storage, both cleared when you close the tab: your demo chat, so it continues from page to page, and the choices you made in the estimator or calculator, so they can travel to the contact form.

Who we share it with

Only the services named on this page, and only so they can do the job described. We don’t sell your information and we don’t share it for advertising. These providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States.

How long we keep it

We keep briefs and emails for as long as we need them to respond, to work with you, and to keep our business records.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@klvr.ca. If you have a concern we can’t resolve, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
